Logitech specifies six degrees of freedom on the X56 — pitch, roll, yaw, and forward/back, up/down, left/right movement — with twin independent throttles on adjustable friction and mini analog sticks on the throttle unit adding what the maker calls four further axes of control. Total programmable controls are stated at 189. The stick's aileron and elevator axes run on what Logitech describes as "contact-free Hall effect sensors" at 16-bit resolution. An adjustable spring- tensioning system ships with four springs of differing tension plus a no-spring option, the unit carries full-spectrum customisable RGB lighting, and a throttle-lock feature lets the twin levers be run as one. Logitech markets the set as "VR Simulator Compatible."
