RealSimulator (trading as EMYCSA, based in Madrid) describes the FSSB-R3 PRO as its "professional solution in force sensor joysticks for desktop usage," built on what the maker calls a new and improved version of its sensors and electronics, without naming a specific sensing technology. Sensitivity is adjustable between 2 and 13 lb, with 4–6 lb recommended for desktop use, and the base senses left/right and push/pull force independently and asymmetrically. It offers an adjustable Neutral Position Adjustment, an adjustable BFA level in roll and pitch (0–10%), and a Full Scale Control setting with four steps (4:4, 3:4, 2:4, 1:4).
Construction is a black-anodised aluminium case with a red-anodised fixation element on a heavy steel mounting plate, connecting over a 5-pin mini-DIN plus Mini-USB Type B or a custom JST 5-pin socket. RealSimulator states the base is mechanically and electrically compatible with all Realsimulator grips and compatible third-party grips. The FSSB-R3 name covers a family that also includes the R3L MKII ULTRA and R3 Lighting.
