Thrustmaster specifies the Sol-R 1 Flightstick as a removable ambidextrous grip on a base with a central throttle, totalling 44 assignable actions. The grip carries 21 action buttons, among them two triggers (one dual-position), two hat switches, a ministick and a thumbwheel. Movement runs on three axes (X, Y, Z) with the maker's H.E.A.R.T. (HallEffect AccuRate Technology) magnetic sensing at 16-bit precision, alongside five virtual axes drawn from the thumbwheel, throttle and ministick. Interchangeable thumb and wrist rests convert it for either hand, and Thrustmaster cites eleven software-controlled RGB zones. The grip detaches onto an AVA base, and the Sol-R base accepts the maker's Viper and Hornet grips, all sold separately. Programming is through the free T.A.R.G.E.T. software. The maker lists the unit at 196 x 196 x 247 mm and 1270 g, on a detachable USB-C cable.
