Thrustmaster sells the Sol-R 2 as a HOSAS pair: two removable grips and two bases, each base with its own central throttle, for 88 assignable buttons across the set. Each stick matches the Sol-R 1 at 21 buttons, including two triggers (one dual-position), two hat switches, a ministick and a thumbwheel. The maker specifies six axes of movement carrying H.E.A.R.T. (HallEffect AccuRate Technology) magnetic sensing at 16-bit precision, plus ten virtual axes from the thumbwheels, ministicks and throttles. Thumb rests, wrist rests and eight stability supports are included, and Thrustmaster cites eleven T.A.R.G.E.T.-controlled RGB zones. The grips detach onto AVA bases and the Sol-R bases accept Viper and Hornet grips, all sold separately. The maker lists the set at 196 x 196 x 247 mm and 2539 g, on two detachable USB-C cables.
This record is an index entry, not a bench verdict: no bench score, binding coverage or pilot reports have been added. A 12 September 2026 read of the maker's page shows the Thrustmaster U.S. eShop asking $399.99, against $389.99 for the Amazon listing recorded here. Buying two Sol-R 1 units separately costs more at eShop prices, so the pair is the cheaper route into a twin-stick setup. Manufacturer source: Sol-R 2 HOSAS Space Sim Duo.
