The Sol-R 5 is the Sol-R base sold without a grip, aimed at pilots who already own detachable Thrustmaster grips. Thrustmaster specifies two axes of movement (X, Y) on H.E.A.R.T. (HallEffect AccuRate Technology) sensors at 16-bit precision, with the built-in mini-throttle available to assign as a third axis. The base carries 23 programmable actions: four toggle switches, eight pads derived from DJ controllers, the mini-throttle, a selector switch and a rotary knob, with individually customisable RGB LEDs. Stability supports and attachment points are included for desk or cockpit mounting, and programming runs through the free T.A.R.G.E.T. software. The maker lists it at 196 x 196 x 67 mm and 960 g, on a detachable USB-C cable.
