The TFRP is the sliding half of Thrustmaster's rudder range, and the cheap way into differential braking. The maker specifies its S.M.A.R.T. (Sliding Motion Advanced Rail Tracks) system as four industrial-grade aluminium slide rails carrying both the rudder and the brakes. Both pedals take differential brakes, so each wheel brakes independently, which is the feature that makes taxiing and crosswind takeoffs worth rehearsing. The base is wide and weighted with what Thrustmaster describes as a self-centring system, and the heel rests are removable, allowing either a flat-footed position or a heel-on-the-floor stance. Pedal spacing is adjustable. On PC the maker claims compatibility with every joystick on the market through its own drivers; on PS5 and PS4 it pairs with the T.Flight Hotas 5 and T.Flight Hotas 4 Microsoft Flight Simulator Edition sticks and the TCA Sky Yoke, and on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One with the T.Flight One Microsoft Flight Simulator Edition, TCA Sidestick X Airbus Edition, TCA Yoke Boeing Edition and TCA Sky Yoke. It ships with dedicated calibration software and works with T.A.R.G.E.T. The maker lists it at 31.4 x 34.9 x 20.6 cm and 2210 g.
